HE IS…Everlasting Father
He does not abandon. He pursues. (Psalm 23:6)
He does not forsake. His grip is eternal. (Romans 8:35-39)
He does not choose to walk away. He stays. (Luke 15:11-24)
He does not disown. He is Keeper. (Jude 1)
He is not too busy. He is present. (Psalm 121)
He does not betray. He is faithful. (Exodus 34:6-7)
His love is not conditional. His is love without limits. (Psalm 36:5, 103:11)
He is not abusive. He is Love. (1 John 4:16)
He is not aloof. He is attentive. (Psalm 34:15)
He is not selfish. He lays down His life for those He loves. (John 3:16)
He is not a dictator. He is a servant-hearted Savior. (John 13:1-17)
He is not distant. He is near. (Psalm 145:18)
He is not angry. He is gentle and lowly. (Matthew 11:28-30)
He is not temporary. He is everlasting. (Isaiah 9:6)
And even if you have the very best Dad in the whole world, he is merely a shadow—an image bearer—of our perfect and everlasting Father. We are fully known and fully loved by the only perfect Father in all the universe.
