Dear Betrayed Wife,

Your husband let go because selfishness ruled his heart. God hangs on eternally because perfect, steadfast, abounding, giving love rules His. Do you see the difference? One has taken. The Other gives, and gives, and gives.

“He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him GRACIOUSLY GIVE US ALL THINGS? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness or danger or sword?” (Romans 8:32,35)

NO.

But what about
betrayal?
divorce?
abuse?
abandonment?

Can those things separate us from the love of Christ?
(** because if I’m being honest it feels big enough that it might**)

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, NOR ANY OTHER CREATED THING will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Dear Wife,
Nothing,
not one single thing
can separate you from the love of Christ.
You can rest easy.
He’s not going to leave you.
His love is secure.
